These drawings from Schulenberg’s sketchbooks were done in Paris in 1963. The journey which had begun more than a year before as a visit, had turned into a professional adventure as well, and he was being commissioned to do illustrations for French magazines including French Vogue.

He sent us some copy about the sketches and that time in his life, which we decided to leave as if they were notes from the sketchbook.
