| The Friends of New Yorkers For Children kicked off its April 19th dinner and dance at Emanuel Ungaro. |
| KiDS of NYU Foundation, Inc., sponsored a family bowling party to benefit pediatrics at NYU Medical Center on Sunday, March 11th at Chelsea Piers. Children from toddlers to teens, along with their parents, grandparents and guests, filled the 40 lanes, and also enjoyed roving magicians, face-painting, art projects and more. The "bowling bash" was chaired by Abigail Scheuer Atema and co-chaired by Lisa Watkinson and Kimberly Pozner. The event raised over $116,000. KiDS' next event, Springfling, will be held May 1 at Chelsea Piers. It will honor Alice Tisch, Chair of KiDS of NYU, and celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ms. Tisch's leadership. KiDS of NYU, an organization made up of parents, physicians and friends, supports children's services at NYU Medical Center through philanthropy, community service and advocacy. |

| At the Women’s Project’s 22nd Annual Women of Achievement Gala last week at the Rainbow Room, they honored Kathy Hilton, Vivienne Tam and Eve Ensler, celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of women in theatre, movies, education and production. Kerry Washington and Bebe Neuwirth were among the presenters and Diana Williams was the evening’s emcee. The charter of this organization is “to allow women to stand higher than they ever have towards the artistic advancement of women.” |

| The Friends of New Yorkers For Children kicked off its April 19th dinner and dance, “A Fool’s Fete” at the Emanuel Ungaro boutique at 792 Madison Avenue last week. Guests were invited for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and to shop in support of New Yorkers For Children’s Back to School Program which provides youth in foster care who are attending college with a $2500 package of the tools necessary to succeed during their college experience. These tools include a laptop computer. Hosts for the event included Marisa Noel Brown, Martin Gibson Dessoffy, Lydia Fenet, Oliver Hammond, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Tinsley Mortimer, Renee Rockfeller, Susan Shin, and Vanessa von Bismarck. Among those attending were Damon Dash, Lauren Davis, Jonathan Farkas, Santiago Gonzalez, Nina Griscom, Patrick McDonald, Cari and Matthew Modine, Larea Meiland, Rachel Roy, Kim Vernon, Chessy Wilson, Denise Wohl, and Arden Wohl. New Yorkers For Children was founded in 1996. It creates special programs, funding, research and training projects that have changed the lives of many of the children in foster care in New York City. Due to their unique access to these children and families, their private funds reach young people thrugh mentoring, college support, employment initiatives, and cultural enrichment programs. |
